You can get a good vibe for the atmosphere in a venue by the music they are playing between bands. When I walked into Scala in London’s King Cross, hearing Gorilla Manor by the Local Natives, I could immediately tell it was going to be a good night and this was my sort of place. I have been a big Titus Andronicus fan since devouring their latest album, The Monitor, and was looking forward to seeing how their power and huge sound would translate to their live show.
