Like many of my age, when I heard that they were filming The Green Hornet I was like, “Wait, that old 1960’s TV show with Bruce Lee done by the same people who did that awful Batman TV show?  Really?!” I did a bit of investigation and found out that The Green Hornet started out as a radio show done in the 30’s, which then became a comic book series in the 40’s.
