Russell T Davis might well be called the saviour of Doctor Who but in truth, he might just be the saviour of British science fiction on TV. Torchwood started as an adult spin off from his reboot of the TV classic on a minor channel, BBC3. It was ok. In it’s first season it could be seen as a tad naive and slightly inelegant.
