It seems like just yesterday I wrote up a review of a little Kickstarter project trying to raise money for an eccentric little comic book called Footprints. Since that review, the Kickstarter has closed after successfully hitting its fundraising goal. Now, having been even more successful than anticipated, the budding creative team composed of Joey Esposito (writer) and Jonathan Moore (artist) has recently released Footprints issue 2. Not everyone might think a cryptozoological mystery series is for them, but thanks to Kickstarter and now publishers 215ink, you get the opportunity to find out. One hundred and ninety-nine different pledges gave…

There is a part of me that wishes Nintendo would just drop the console business all together and start working on their own licensed games for other systems. I want to love Nintendo, I really do, but I just haven’t been interested in anything since the N64. I will say that all the DS hand-held systems have been the object of my desire at some point or another, but for the most part, the price is just far too high. Clearly I am not the only person that disagrees with the price point. After having just ended their fiscal year with…

After rumors that Darabont had fired all his writers at the end of last season came up, and were put down by comic book creator and Producer Robert Kirkman, little is known about the state of…

It took me years to get through Tolkien’s The Hobbit, but I have a feeling that I will be glad I have read it when the film is released. Finally some of the pictures we all really wanted to see are emerging. The beloved dwarves that remain almost completely hidden in The Lord of the Rings films play a much larger part in The Hobbit and, from these images, it’s clear they will be done right! In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit… The Hobbit, being directed by Peter Jackson in two separate parts, is set in Middle-earth…

For those of us in the states, 2000AD might not be all that exciting of a name. In fact, I would wager that many comic book fans have never heard of it at all. 2000AD is Britain’s longest running and most celebrated sci-fi comic, which has been at the cutting edge of contemporary pop culture since 1977. Characters like Judge Dredd, Halo Jones, Strontium Dog, and Rogue Trooper are just a small list of those that have called 2000AD home. To those that are fans already, this news will more than likely make your day, like it did mine. For those…

After an amazing performance on the season finale as one of the interviewees’ applying for Michael Scott’s replacement, NBC has just announced that Spader will indeed be joining the cast. “James will reprise his role as Robert California, this uber-salesman that has a power to convince and manipulate, like a high-class weirdo Jedi warrior,” said Paul Lieberstein, one of the series’ executive producers…
