Sony announced an across the board global price drop on the PlayStation 3 today during their press conference at Gamescom. Affective imediately in North America and Europe, August 18th in Japan, the 160GB system will go from $299 (€299) to $249 (€249) and the 320GB will now retail for $299 (€299). To kick off what Sony hopes will be a sales spike, they also announced that there will be a new bundle that includes inFamous 2 and a 320GB system for $299. At this time, it also looks like the remaining bundles that are available such as the Move Championship Sports bundle also drop by $50 at most retailers.
