Sharon Van Etten has been catching astute ears across the nation with her soon-to-be released sophomore record, epic. She’s currently on tour with Marissa Nadler, and, in November, will embark on a tour with the Jose Gonzales-fronted group Junip. In anticipation of these dates, she’s released a new track off the aforementioned record, the stunning plea “Don’t Do It,” a song elucidating that one can only control a relationship so much before submitting to each other’s wants and desires.
